  • What are the Rental Conditions ?
  1. The customer is  responsible of all parkingand traffic  violations and of all damages caused to the scooter ,even without fault ,with  the limit of the amount of the point  2.Please ,check the scooter state togheter with our attendants
  2.  The customer is covered by liability insurance and the scooter is coveredby theft insurance with exemption deductible of euro 400.00 for scooter 50cc—euro 500.00 for scooter 125cc—euro 700.00 for vespa 125 and medley 150 -- euro 800.00 for scooter 250/300to leave as a deposit
  3. It’s compulsory to  wear the helmet
  4. The customer is responsible for loss of the original insurance document
  5. Gas is not included; please restore the starting level
  6. No refunds for rental  fee  paid

 

  •  Is it convenient to reserve the scooter? 

Yes. If you book, you can ensure the personalized WEB discount and the scooter model you have chosen.

The reservation is free and you will only pay when you pick-up your scooter. You can change or cancel your reservation at any time.

 

  • Can I log and park in restricted traffic zones (ZTL)?

     

The Tridente ZTL (A1) is the only "Limited Traffic Zone" closed to scooters. - CLOSING HOURS (excluding holidays): 6.30-19.00 from Monday to Friday 10.00 am-7.00 pm on Saturdays 

In all the other ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) areas  the scooters can access even when the gates are active. Including in areas ZTL parking is only allowed in parking spaces reserved for motorcycles and on the blue stripes. 
 
Mopeds and motorcycles are not allowed, however, in all pedestrian areas (ie Piazza San Pietro, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona , Fori Imperiali e Colosseo. 
  • Can I take the taxi and bus lanes?

It is not allowed to circulate in the preferential lanes reserved for taxis and buses. These are delimited by yellow strips and controlled by cameras to increase fines for offenders.      

Can I carry a passenger on 50cc vehicles?

Yes.      

  • The mileage is fee required?

No, it is unlimited.      

  • Which documents are required to rent a scooter?

To rent a scooter you need a driver's license currently valid (B for vehicles up to 125cc and A for larger engines).  An international driving license is required for non-EU customers.

  • I don’t have a credit card, can I rent a scooter anyway?

Sure. If you do not have a credit card, you can leave the cash deposit. It will be returned on return of the vehicle.      

  • What is included in the rental cost?

The price includes, besides the rental, two helmets with bandanas, liability insurance, spacious top box (containing 2 helmets), windshields, chain and padlock, phone case, USB port to charge your smartphone, selfie stick (on demand), the replacement of the vehicle at our office in case of a malfunction.      

  • Can I go on the highway with an engine capacity vehicle 50cc or 125cc?

No, it is forbidden to go on the highway with vehicles 50cc and 125cc. It is not allowed to travel the Ring Road (GRA) and the Est motorway (Tangenziale est). The other state highways are usually trafficable except for specific limitations suitably marked.     

  • I am a minor, I can ride a scooter?

Yes, if you are under 18 but you have regular license you can drive our scooter. However, the lessee must be an adult and the entire rental will be under its responsibility.    

  • Where can I park the scooter?

In Rome there are many free parking spaces reserved for motorcycles (white stripes on the size of a scooter). The two-wheeled vehicles can also park for free on the blue stripes. It is not allowed to park on the sidewalk.      

  •

  • What are the rules for fuel?

When picking we will deliver a scooter with a full tank. When back you should return it in the same condition. Rome is full of gas stations also close to our office.      

  • What happens if I get a fine?

If, during the period of your rental, you get a fine, we will have to communicate to the authorities your information. The fine will be delivered to your home and you can pay it in the manner specified on it.      

  • Can I bring a child on the scooter?

The Italian law prohibits transporting children under 5 years of age on any type of two-wheeled vehicle. If your child is older than 5 years and his size is suitable for traveling safely on the scooter you can travel with him. If he is not accustomed to travel on two wheels, always consider that Rome is a big busy city.      

  • What happens in case of bad weather?

Rome is a city with a very mild climate, and rain rarely lasts more than a few hours. If you are equipped for the rain, there are no driving restrictions on two wheels. In case you prefer not to travel with the scooter in bad weather, cancellation from us is always free and, according to our availability, you can reserve a scooter for another day.      

  • I do not know Rome. How can I drive on the streets?

All of our scooters come with a bag for the smartphone and a USB socket. If you have an internet connection, you can use your phone as a navigator without fear of draining the battery. If you have your USB cable you can, in fact, charge the phone while driving.

  • Can I cancel the reservation?

You can cancel your reservation at any time. There are no additional costs. Precisely for this reason, we ask you the kindness, in the case of cancellation, to inform us at least 48 hours in advance.      

  • I have a problem with the scooter. What should I do?

Our staff is at your disposal to solve any problem. You can contact us by email, phone or you can come to our office every day from 9.00 to 19.00.    

  • I cannot pick up / deliver the scooter during opening hours (9.00 – 13.00 / 15.00 - 19.00). What can I do?

You can pick up the vehicle only in our opening hours (9.00 - 13.00 / 15.00 – 19.00) at our headquarters in Via Castelfidardo 72. It is possible, instead, the return of the scooter also at closing time prior arrangement.

  • Can I travel the lanes for Taxis and buses?
  • No. It is not allowed to drive in lanes reserved for Taxis and buses. These are bordered by yellow stripes and controlled by cameras to raise fines on offenders.  
  •  Is it convenient to reserve the scooter?
